New Release of CivilFEM 2025 powered by Marc
November 18, 2025
General purpose finite element software engineering
for civil, structural and geotechnical
We are excited to announce the latest release of CivilFEM 2025 powered by Marc, a comprehensive software solution that integrates the power of structural and geotechnical analysis. Focusing on innovation and user-driven advancements, CivilFEM 2025 offers an integrated platform for engineers to tackle complex engineering projects with greater precision and efficiency.
MAIN IMPROVEMENTS:
– Thermal loads varying along Cartesian axes. This option allows the introduction of thermal gradients in solid elements for structural analyses.
– New checking criteria for bending and axial forces in concrete structures. It is now possible to obtain the criterion defined from the origin of the interaction diagram, as well as the criterion for constant axial load.
– Improvements in HDF5-format results. Results from increment 0 can now be plotted when the solution does not converge, and if the solution is canceled, the results generated up to that point can be reviewed.
– Multiple selection of structural elements for linear and surface loads and boundary conditions. This simplifies the definition of loads and boundary conditions when they apply to many structural elements.
– Added capability to create solid sections from multiple structural elements, including shell elements.
– New results for forces and moments at nodes with tie constraints applied.
– New options for defining post-cracking behaviour. It is now possible to define Force–Crack opening laws and to introduce the crack bandwidth.
FIXED ERRORS:
Class 2 (affecting usability)
– Fixed a solver error when using composite materials in analyses with the construction process behavior option enabled.
– Fixed a crash when performing multiple selection of different types of geometries transformed with copies.
– Fixed a crash in certain cases when performing the boolean split operation.
