Description:

Forensic engineering is the investigation of materials and structures that failed or did not operate as intended. The purpose of a forensic engineering investigation is to locate the cause or causes of failure, as well as the restoration and maintenance to improve performance or life of the structures.

The advanced non-linear analysis capabilities of CivilFEM2017 plus Code and Standards verifications make it a unique tool for Forensic engineering.

The unique CivilFEM2017 non-linear capabilities enable to perform very sophisticate analysis with whom to assess related issues of structures more rigorously and allow to understand the structure behavior, calculation of load-carrying capacity, global or local structural buckling, or progressive damage, material failure such as yielding, cracking or crushing or excessive deformations and how to avoid these disasters in advance.

This webinar includes some famous structure failures and collapses and how CivilFEM enables engineers to locate the cause or causes of failure, as well as improve performance or life of the structure with a proper design for reparability.
