Ingeciber S.A. & MSC Software Announce New Release of CivilFEM®2018 powered by Marc®

New Simulation Capabilities for Civil Engineers Solve Difficult Nonlinear Problems

Madrid, Spain–(May 17, 2018) – MSC Software Corporation and Ingeciber S.A., a specialized civil engineering CAE company with more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering, today announced the new release of CivilFEM® 2018 powered by Marc®.

CivilFEM 2018 is a very powerful and versatile program suitable for all the types of advanced analyses performed in all construction sectors, providing a rich set of tools and unique capabilities that streamline the creation of analysis models for Construction, Dams, CAE, Forensic Structural Analysis, Seismic design, Soil-structure interaction, Foundations, Tunnels, Rock and soil mechanic analyses, Skyscrapers, Geotechnics, Mining, Energy, Oil&Gas, Precast, Power Plants: Nuclear, Hydraulic… or any other Civil Engineering major infrastructure.

CivilFEM´s new version improves aspects of the pre-process, post-process and solution processes. In addition, the most relevant general tool that has been implemented in this version is the “Solid sections” tool that allows the creation of cuts or slices on your model so that you can view internal geometry, mesh, display results and operate with stresses results: automatic stress integration to obtain forces and moments, reinforcement calculation in concrete models, Code and Standard checking and design, etc.

Several pre-processing new capabilities have been included. A New hybrid mesher (hexahedral, pentahedral and pyramid elements) have been added for structural and thermal analysis, and the ability to work with Variable shell thickness.

“User results by Python scripting” and “Results combinations with concomitant forces and moments” are new capabilities that will optimize the output of results.

In terms of real solution processes, we are pleased to show the new features of “Thermal-structural coupled analysis: thermal contacts, activation and deactivation of elements in thermal analysis and temperature dependent material properties”, and the “Steady State and Transient Seepage Analysis” which place CivilFEM at the forefront of advanced software for structural analysis, opening new paths and projects to CivilFEM´s users.

In addition, the “Arch-length method for nonlinear buckling” has been implemented and the possibility of using “Followers forces” that significantly enhances second-degree analysis.
