CivilFEM 2025 for Ansys and CivilFEM Apps 2025 have been released!

CivilFEM 2025 for Ansys and CivilFEM Apps 2025 have been released!

We are thrilled to announce the release of CivilFEM 2025 for Ansys, introducing an array of new features and improvements designed to streamline your structural analysis and design processes. This latest version, compatible with Ansys 2025 R1 and Windows 11, brings a host of enhancements to both Ansys MAPDL and Ansys Workbench platforms, empowering engineers with advanced capabilities and greater flexibility.

Enhancements in CivilFEM for Ansys MAPDL:

  • Support for Ansys 2025 R1.
    “CivilFEM 2025 for Ansys” can run with Ansys 2025 R1,2024 R2, 2024 R1, 2023 R2, 2023 R1, 2022 R2, 2022 R1, 2021 R2, 2021 R1, 2020 R2 and 2020 R1 and also with older versions of Ansys (14.5, 16.1, 17.1, 18.2, 19.0, 19.1, 19.2 and Ansys 2019 versions). Please, ask Ingeciber if you would like CivilFEM to support any other Ansys version.
  • A new user-defined code combination option has been added to simplify input for linear combinations. Users can now copy and paste the coefficients directly into the CivilFEM window.
  • A new option has been added to the ~PL2DINT command and ~CHKCON command. It is now possible to define different criteria for the section. The user can select the criterion based on the center of the interaction diagram, the origin of the diagram, or a constant axial force.
  • The ~IDHCLPF command now supports the SOLSEC argument to plot the interaction diagram based on HCLPF for solid sections.

Enhancements in CivilFEM for Ansys Workbench:

  • Support for Ansys 2025 R1.
    “CivilFEM ACT 2025.1” can run with Ansys 2025 R1, 2024 R2, 2024 R1, 2023 R2, 2023 R1, 2022 R2, 2022 R1, 2021 R2, 2021 R1, 2020 R2, 2020 R1 and Ansys 2019 versions.
  • Geometry for structural elements can now be assigned using Ansys bodies, not just faces or edges.
  • A new user-defined code combination option has been added to simplify input for linear combinations. Users can now copy and paste the coefficients directly into the CivilFEM window.
  • A new option has been added to the interaction diagram and CivilFEM concrete check objects . It is now possible to define different criteria for the section. The user can select the criterion based on the center of the interaction diagram, the origin of the diagram, or a constant axial force.
  • The checking process has been optimized to improve performance.

These enhancements represent our commitment to empowering civil engineering professionals with cutting-edge tools and technologies to tackle the most complex structural challenges effectively. About CivilFEM for Ansys

CivilFEM is a civil/structural plug-in for ANSYS MAPDL that offers over 400 additional capabilities for the analysis and design of various civil engineering structures. These capabilities include the checking and design of ANSYS beam, shell, or solid element models according to international concrete and steel codes. It also provides specialized modules for geotechnics, bridges, and nuclear power plants, including nuclear codes, J and ∩ tendons, seismic margin assessment (HCLPF – EPRI-NP6041-Rev1), and more. Furthermore, it enables the definition of any type of tendon layout, calculation of short and long-term losses, and the transfer of equivalent forces to beam, shell, and solid element models.

About CivilFEM Apps for Ansys Workbench

A much-demanded capability in the construction industry is check and design using the main international construction standards and, fortunately, Ansys® users can now check and design their models using these standards with the help of the new CivilFEM® APPs for Ansys® Workbench™.

These Apps also incorporate a complete material library and section library that encompasses materials and sections. In addition, they allow the simple and intuitive generation of the load combinations, an essential task in the construction field for its later check and design.
