Slope Stability Analysis

CivilFEM allows the calculation of the safety factor against sliding phenomena in 2D models according to the following methods:

  •  Classic failure methods.
    • Fellenius.
    • Bishop.
    • Janbu and modified Janbu.
    • Morgenstern price.
    • US Corps of Engineers.
  •  FEM results.
  • Action on model: seismic effect, loads and hydrostatic load over the slope surface.

The following actions can be considered in the analysis:

  • Seismic effects.
  • Loads applied directly over the slope.
  • Hydrostatic load.
  • Results of a seepage analysis can be introduced as input loads to the slope stability calculation.
